Julie Long brings more than 27 years of distinguished service as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney in Benton
County, along with recent experience in the Franklin County Prosecutor’s Office. In a relatively short time
there, she has played a significant role in screening cases and helping address the backlog of criminal filings.
While we would be sorry to see her leave Franklin County, we enthusiastically support her candidacy because
of the professionalism, work ethic, and leadership she would bring to the Benton County Prosecutor’s Office.
Julie’s extensive courtroom experience, deep understanding of criminal prosecution, and steadfast
commitment to holding offenders accountable make her exceptionally qualified to lead the office. She
recognizes that the Prosecutor’s Office is first and foremost a public service agency—one that must ensure
victims have a voice, cases are handled efficiently, and strong partnerships with law enforcement are
maintained. Throughout the region, she is widely respected by law enforcement professionals as an
